Special Chinese Green Tea

Green tea consumption has a tradition in the East that goes back thousands of years. Green tea is mainly known for its strong antioxidant effects. Its caffeine content makes it an invigorating substitute for morning coffee. Its beneficial amino acids dissolve at 60-70 degrees Celsius, and its slow-absorbing caffeine content helps you stay fresher and more vibrant for longer. Its active ingredients are not absorbed in the stomach, as in coffee, but in the large intestine, so the energising effect comes later but lasts longer. Suggestions for steeping times vary, with steeping times of up to 5-8 minutes being recommended, depending on the origin of the tea leaves.

The flavour, which is due to the tannin tanning agent, is most intense when first boiled down and is characteristically tart. It is recommended to heat the leaves at 60-70 degrees and soak them for 40-120 seconds.

For the second pouring, the soaking time can be halved, and for the third pouring, the soaking time of the first source should be used again.

In general, the longer the tea grass steeps, the more bitter the tea tastes.

Suggested use of Special Chinese Green Tea: steep a teaspoonful of tea leaves in boiling water for 5 minutes and then consume.
